I owned a regional retail business for over twenty years, working six days a week while also raising two boisterous children, lots of chickens and even the occasional vegetable! I consider myself adept at sorting out the odd cash-flow wobble, difficult customer and reorganising the stockroom before morning tea. Since selling the shop I’ve filled the space with volunteering, grandparenting and more home projects than strictly necessary. I like to write about lifestyle, home life, staying useful, being your own boss and then (maybe) not 😉
